“My name is Karen. I was in a car accident in 2009. Amongst other things, I had really bad sciatica. I couldn’t sleep, sit, or stand without painful electrical-like impulses going from my butt down to my feet. After going to a PT, back in 2009, I felt better.

Last August I must have done something to bring it back on. The PT that I had gone to in 2009 was gone, so I tried others–about three different ones–but no one was able to make me feel better.

In August of 2019, Dr. Ketselman was recommended to me. Within the first two visits, I began feeling much better. He is a movement therapist and is very different than the other PTs that I had tried.

Other PTs didn’t work with me one-on-one. They would tell me to do certain exercises, then leave me and go to work on someone else. I did my exercises with about 5-10 other people in the room. No one was watching what I was doing, no one asked me how I felt when I finished each exercise, and no one really cared.

Dr. Ketselman is different. He works with you one-on-one the WHOLE time. He watches what you do, and how you feel after EACH exercise. Then he asses each exercise, revises it, and makes sure it fits your needs.

I am now able to sit and sleep. That was my goal. I am so happy.”

“I’ve been highly competitive in tennis for most of my life, including playing for a division 1 collegiate program. Unfortunately, knee pain put an end to my career. Despite past surgeries and physical therapy, I continued to experience pain during any athletic activity. Although my competitive career ended, I still loved the sport and remained involved through coaching. The knee pain made coaching extremely hard however, and I felt like things were progressively worsening as I kept coaching. I was getting to the point of thinking I would have to stop coaching and leave the sport I loved completely. Thankfully I was introduced to Dr. Ketselman, who was able to work with me in a whole new way to help guide me back to tennis. I’ve had a lot of experience with physical therapy in the past, which mostly included hot/cold packs, electric stimulation, and some general knee exercises that seemed to barely do anything. My experience with Dr. Ketselman was definitely not that of traditional physical therapy. Dr. Ketselman’s approach was extremely individualized. Every symptom was closely monitored, and everything we worked on was specifically based on the feedback I provided. He has displayed great attention to detail and has been nothing but courteous, empathizing and highly skilled at getting me finally back on the tennis court. Through Dr. Ketselman’s guidance, I was able to resolve pain, strengthen my lower body, and return to playing and coaching the sport I love! I am very grateful for him and would highly recommend him to my family and friends for his outstanding care…I just wish I would have known him sooner! Thank you so much for all your help Dr. K!”
